Banff to Jasper Photography Tour
This Banff to Jasper photography tour is centred around the famous Banff National Park and Jasper National park with all the glory of the Icefields Parkway in-between. This tour consists between 3-8 people, giving us more flexibility and time to explore the world class locations on show.


Banff
Banff is located in Alberta, Canada; it is a Small town with lots of character. The town is a 1.5 hour Drive from the city of Calgary (pick up point). Banff is dwarfed by 10,000ft. tall mountain peaks, the bluest of lakes and many hot springs. On this trip we will be exploring Banff and the surrounding area at the best times to get the perfect shot, without the mass crowds. We will setting out for the sunrise, and sunsets each day, with resting time in between.
Jasper
Jasper is also located in Alberta Canada. It is a small mountain town that has a a connected history with the rail road. Jasper is a-lot more isolated than its bigger brother Banff but none the less impressive. Jasper is home too many great photo locations that will have you wanting more. There is an abundance of wildlife in and around Jasper also that can make for some impressive photo opportunities.
Icefields Parkway
When you drive from Banff too Jasper you will take the Icefields Parkway. This is an isolated road but one that holds many treasures for photographer and sightseer alike we will be making a number of stops at some of our favourite locations along the road.
What to Expect
On this Banff to Jasper photography tour, we will be shooting sunrise’s, sunset’s and, weather permitting, some astrophotography. We will be using a variety of photography techniques to come away with the best possible images, while making memories that will last a life time. This is one adventure rich with Canadian sights and sounds you should experience at least once in your lifetime (even if not with our tour)! Please take a moment to enjoy a short preview to see some of what you can expect from this tour.
Who is it For
This photo tour is aimed at the adventurous people among us; people who prefer to get off the beaten track, people who wish to have an unbelievable experience while thoroughly enjoying yourself. It helps if you have an interest in photography, but that is not essential. If you just want to explore these unique locations you are more than welcome to register.



Itinerary
Day 1 – On the first day we will meet up in Calgary and make our way to Banff National Park. Once we arrive, you will have time get settled into your accommodation, and have some time to explore the town. In the evening we will head out to capture our first location at sunset.
Day 2 – We will be up early to photograph our second location at sunrise. Once we have captured what we’re after, it’s time for breakfast. After a quick photo review session, you have some free time before our sunset shoot.
Day 3 – Once again we will be up to shoot the sunrise. After the sunrise shoot we will go in search of some wildlife. If we are lucky we may see Elk, deer, bears and wolfs too name but a few. As we set off along the Icefields Parkway. We will Once again shoot sunset at one of the various locations
Day 4/5 – On day 4 of the tour we will be heading for the town of Jasper where we will spend two nights along this drive we will stop a a few locations to grab some shots. once we arrive in Jasper we will get settled in and explore what the Jasper Nation Park has to offer.
Day 6 – Day six we will make our way back along the Icefields parkway where we will be staying at lake Louise for the night.
Day 7 – On day 7 we will be exploring the lake Louise area and making our way back to Banff fo our last night together.
Day 8 – This will be our last morning together we will go out and shoot one last time before having some down time. After this its back to Calgary where we will end our trip together.
Shoot Locations – Here is a list of the possible shoot locations on the tour. We will change up the locations all depending on the weather forecast, so that you can come away with the best possible photographs.
Morane Lake, Lake Louise, Vermillion Lakes, Two Jack Lake. Lake Minnewanka, Johnston Canyon, Morant’s Curve, Sulphur Mountain, Castle Mountain, Pyramid Lake, Maligne Lake, Valley Of Five Lakes, Medicine Lake, Athabasca Falls, Lake Edith and Lake Annette, Maligne Canyon, Herbert/Hector lakes, Payto lake, Sunwapta Falls to name but a few.



On The Tour
So, whats included on the tour? – Three seven of accommodation at various locations (this trip is based on single occupancy rooms).
Transport is provided during the tour; pick up and drop off locations can be discussed before the trip begins.
Guidance on photography to help you come away with memories that will last for a life time.
Whats Not included on the tour? – Flights are not included.
Food & Drink is not included in the price but many of the hotels will have a breakfast included.
Travel Insurance, all participants are required to have their own travel insurance prior to arrival.
Camera and tripod.
What to Bring? –
Warm and waterproof clothes!!! Canadian weather can be unpredictable at the best of times. Good footwear is also recommended for this trip as we will be trekking through some adventurous ground. Camera, preferably with manual mode. Tripod for long exposures. Camera filters are an advantage as they will give you more options to get creative with your photography.
Costs
The cost of the tour is $2700 usd. A deposit of $600 is required to hold your place. full payment is required 60 days before the tour.
Cancellation – If you cancel the tour 90 days before the you will get a full refund, excluding $80 admin fee.
The full payment is non-refundable. However if we find someone to take your place we will refund in full, excluding $80 Admin fee.
* If we do not have the required numbers to run the tour, we reserve the right to cancel up to 60 days in advance. We will refund deposit, but you must have travel insurance to cover any travel expenses you may incur.
